A LEADING actor who paid one of Wayne Rooney's hookers for sex has finally admitted his guilt to his devastated wife, The Sun can reveal. Read more:

He made the emotional confession despite winning a super-injunction gagging us from publishing any details of his romp with vice girl Helen Wood, 24.

Last night it was not clear if the star's decision to come clean would be enough to save his marriage.

But the revelation comes just days after the actor, who has appeared both on TV and in films, was named and shamed alongside other celebrities on micro-blogging website Twitter.

A source said: "Since then his name has been passed around the internet at record speed.

"Millions have seen it and the fact is that there's no hiding place for him any more.
"It's reached the stage where his wife or any member of his family can easily find out the sordid details with a couple of clicks on Google."

Last month we told how the luvvie had romped with Helen, from Bolton, Greater Manchester, in March last year.

He booked her through an escort agency using the false name "Drew" and arranged to meet her at a luxury apartment block. Helen told how he arrived casually dressed for the £195 encounter without his wedding ring on.

During the session she offered to use a sex toy on him and he eagerly agreed.

Helen said at the time: "I asked him if he wanted a massage and I gave him one. He turned over and he was a disgusting kisser.

"He kissed like a virgin."

The actor, known only as NEJ in court, won a super-injunction in April after a judge ruled exposing his cheating would invade his privacy. His fling with Helen came months before she met and romped with England ace Rooney, 25, at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester.

ONE of Britain's top bloggers caused chaos on Twitter yesterday after appearing to link more than a dozen celebrities to gagging orders.

He posted a series of tweets naming a string of stars, hinting some might be behind current court injunctions.

They included the names of Premier League footballers, a top club manager and a mega-rich international businessman.

The flurry of posts also referred to other well-known figures from the TV world and one of Britain's richest men.

The blogger gained more than 1,000 followers to his tens of thousands of online fans in just two hours after posting the hints.

Lawyers and agents for a string of stars named on the site were last night poring over the Twitter feed. A leading agent to a top football figure named on the site said: "I will have to speak to my lawyer.

"I will be seeking professional advice."

Another agent said: "We will be looking into this very closely."

The number of people searching online for the identity of stars taking out injunctions - and then tweeting or posting the name on Facebook - has topped two million.

More than a million are thought to have found, then told others, the name of a Premier League footballer who had a fling with Big Brother's Imogen Thomas.

CAMPAIGNING MP John Hemming yesterday called on the Government to challenge the gagging orders in the Supreme Court.

He said Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt should spearhead a legal appeal.

Downing Street said the Government is examining the request.
